South Sudan VS Uganda

After a great performance in the first leg by South Sudan, it was a tough match for the Bright Stars today in Kampala, with a 5-1 final result in their CHAN 2018 qualifier against .

Uganda were the better team on the day and were helped by some favourable refereeing decisions. Derrick Nsibambi scored the opener for Uganda in the 33rd minute, before substitute Paul Mucureezi scored the next 4 goals. Khamis Leon got one back for South Sudan in the 90th minute.

We would like to thank the South Sudanese fans in Kampala for their great support, and they were cheering on the team until the final whistle. For our players, it is more great experience and the team will learn what is needed to compete at the highest level.
