South Sudan’s U20 national team suffered a 3-0

South Sudan’s U20 national team suffered a 3-0 defeat yesterday against Uganda at Juba Stadium in the 2nd leg of the 2019 AFCON U20 qualifier. The Young Bright Stars were looking to make up for their 5-1 loss in the 1st and started well with the scores level at 0-0 at half time. The experience Uganda team then dominated the 2nd half and recorded a 8-1 aggregate win to reach the next round of qualifiers.
We would like to thank our loyal fans for coming out in force to support the team and despite the result we will continue to work on youth development. As these were the first ever competitive matches played by the U20 national team it is important step in our development and we are excited to see the improvement of the team for future matches.
