FIFA happy with South Sudan’s positive steps – Veron
The World Football governing body, FIFA has made it clear that they are happy with the positive steps the South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) is making to develop football.
Veron Mosengo-Omba, FIFA’s Director of development for Africa and the Caribbean disclosed this during an interview at the Palm Africa Hotel during a brief interval of the SSFA Ordinary Assembly.
“FIFA is very happy that South Sudan is moving in the right step in-terms of football development. Under the leadership of Francis Amin Micheal, SSFA has showed that they are focused to develop football in their country,” added Mosengo-Omba.
He made it clear that it is not by mistake that FIFA will renovate the Juba National Stadium. “It is because of the good work and focus by SSFA that FIFA is coming in to help,” added the FIFA official.
He reminded the delegates at the Assembly that South Suan was the first country FIFA President Gianni Infantino visited when he was elected President.
On Saturday Mosengo-Omba will grace the function to inaugurate the renovation of the Juba Football Stadium. CAF executive member and President of the Uganda FA Moses Hassim Magogo and Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) President, Wallace Karia will also attend.
