South Sudan target new coach

The President of the South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) has announced that they have started the search for a new national head coach.

Francis Amin Michael has made it clear that after the dismal performance in the qualifiers of the 2019 Total Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) they will need to make some changes on the technical bench.

“We are on the look out for a national coach who will work with our local coaches and also develop them,” said the SSFA President. He said that the Association might send some local coaches for further training in Europe.

Ramzi Sebit is the current caretaker coach of South Sudan’s senior team, Bright Stars.

Algerian born German Ahcene Ait Abdelmalek was the last foreign head coach to handle South Sudan’s national team before he left in September last year.
