Confederation of African Football (CAF) has invited President of the South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) Francis Amin Michael to grace the draws for the 2019 Total Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon).
The draws that will for the first time involve 24 teams will be conducted on April 12th in Cairo, Egypt. The 2019 Afcon will take place June 21 to July 19th.
“I have been invited to attend the draws in Cairo. We are also working hard by building systems so that in the years ahead we can also qualify for Afcon,” said Amin.
Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Burundi are the nations that qualified and will carry the flag for the Council for East and Central African Football Associations (Cecafa) region.
According to CAF the the nations which have been placed in Pot 1 include; Egypt, Senegal, Tunisia, Ivory Coast, Ghana and Cameroon, while Pot 2 has Moroco, Nigeria, DR Congo, Algeria, Mali and Guinea.
Pot 3 has Uganda, South Africa, Guinea Bissau, Zimbabwe, Angola, Burundi and Pot 4; Mauritania, Namibia, Benin, Kenya Madagascar and Tanzania.
