Egyypt has confirmed that draws for the 2019 Total Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) will take place at the Giza Pyramids on April 12th. The draws will also be attended by FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
Mohamed
Fadl, head of the 2019 Afcon organising committee revealed that the draw to
take place at the Giza Pyramids will also be graced by the Fifa President.
President of
the South Sudan Football Association (SSFA), Francis Amin Michael together with
other invited FA Presidents in Africa will also attend the ceremony.
The 2019 Afcon
which will for the first time feature 24 teams will take place June 21st
to July 13th.
Former Senegalese
legend El-Hadji Diouf and Moroccan Mustapha Hadji will also be part of the team
to conduct the draws.
Cameroon are the defendning champions, while the Council for East and Central African Football Associations (Cecafa) will also have Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya and Burundi taking part.
