Lual Lual carrying South Sudan flag high at U-17 Afcon
South Sudanâ€™s team is not present at the on-going U-17 Total Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) in Dar es salaam, but Victor Lual Lual is carrying the countryâ€™s flag high at the tournament.
Lual Lual who is a member of the South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) is one of the tournament general cordinators selected by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
â€œI am happy that CAF selected me to be part of the general coordinators at this tournament. It helps me to get the exposure and experience,â€ Laul Lual said on Monday after being part of the Group B games at the Chamazi Stadium.
The U-17 Afcon mant for players under 17 years kicked off on April 14th and will climx on April 28th. The openi ng match saw Nigeria beat Tanzania 5-4, while angola defeated Uganda Cubs 1-0.
Cameroon stopped Guinea 2-0 in the first Group B game on Monday before Senega fought from a goal down to hold Morocco to a 1-1 draw.
The best two teams in each of the two groups will automatically qualify for the U-17 FIFA World Cup to take place later this year in Brazil.
