The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has awarded Cameroon the hosting rights of the 2020 Total Africa Nations Championship (CHAN).
In a communication made on the CAF website on April 16th, the executive committee that sat on April 11-12 in Cairo, Egypt withdrew the original hosting rights from Ethiopia.
Cameroon was meant to host the 2019 Total Africa Cup of nations (Afcon) but were not ready, losing the hosting rights to Egypt. South Sudan will start their 2020 CHAN qualification campaign with their first round opponents being Uganda in July.
The African Football governing body also announced that they have made a substantial increase in the prize money for the Total Africa Cup of Nations 2019.

that the executive Committee dismissed Amr Fahmy because of misconduct and appointed
Mouad Hajji as new CAF General
