South Sudan’s Joseph Deng will attend two CAF Club Licensing Workshops slated for April 21-26th in Kampala, Uganda.
Deng who is
also the the Club Lincensing manager for the South Sudan Football Association
(SSFA) will join 52 other participants from 26 countries at the Workshops to
take place at the Sheraton Hotel.
The workshops
will be segmented in two with the first one taking place April 22-23rd and the
second April 25-26th with each attracting 26 participants.
Club Licensing is a tool for both the development and bench-marking of professional football clubs. Under the Club Licensing System, clubs need to comply with certain criteria to participate in local/CAF/FIFA competitions.
According to
CAF some of the objectives of the workshops will be to provide Federations with an update on the
club licensing system at the continental level and assist the MAs with near
future planning among other things.
Some of the
countries that will send participants include; Botswana, Egypt, Gambia, Ghana,
Kenya, Libya, Uganda, Namibia, Seychelles, Somalia, South Sudan, Lesotho, Liberia,
Angola, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Mozambique, Malawi, Nigeria,
South Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
