Manager at the South Sudan Football Association (SSFA), Lazarus Victor Mobutu
is in Blantyre, Malawi to attend a FIFA Forward infrastructure workshop.
“I am happy to be in Malawi were I will learn new ideas on infrastructure which will help us back in South Sudan,” said Mobutu on Tuesday.
The Workshop which runs May 15-16 will take place at the Ryalls Hotel.
According to
the workshop schedule, the members will deliberate on general principles of
infrastructure, natural grass pitches, football turf pitches and how to apply for
infrastructure related FIFA Forward projects among other things.
Part of the
FIFA delegation to conduct the workshop include; Marie-Florence Mahwera
(development Officer, FIFA Regional Office in Addis Ababa), Christine Gama
(Development Coordinator (FIFA Regional Office in Johannesburg), Daniel Krebs
(Manager Football Facilities and Income Generation Programmes, Member
Associations Division), Hassan Khan (Project Coordinator, MA Services, Member
Associations Division) and three other consultants.
Participants
attending the workshop will come from South Sudan, Cape Verde, Egypt, Eritrea,
Swaziland, Gambia, Lesotho, Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique, Seychelles, Somalia,
South Africa, Tanzania and Uganda.
