Club Champions League climax for Wau
The 2019 South Sudan Club Champions League is set for the final bend slated for June 6-10th at the Wau Stadium.
After two weeks of action in the three different groups Atlabara FC (A), Al Hilal FC (B) and Al Qadisiua FC (C) came out top to qualify for the last phase of the competition.
In Group A, the former champions Atlabara FC showed better form when they brushed a side Koryom FC 3-0, saw off Super Stars FC 2-1 and humbled Al Malakia FC 2-0.
Al Hilal FC also came out unbeaten when started with a 1-all draw against Holy Family FC and won the next three matches. They defeated Abyei City FC 2-0, picked a 2-0 victory against Aweil United FC and completed with a 2-1 win over Tiger FC.
In Group C Al Qadisiua beat Galb Al Assad 3-0 and registered a similar score against Sobat FC.
Mores Machile, the Atlabara coach has made it clear that they will not take any team for granted. “We are determined to win the Cup to be able to represent South Sudan at the International level,” added Machile.
The winning team will represent South Sudan at the regional Kagame Club Championship in Rwanda in July and the CAF Champions League which starts in August.
