U-12 team returns from South Korea
South Sudan’s U-12 national team returned on Tuesday afternoon from South Korea.
The team was received at Juba International Airport by South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) President, Francis Amin Micheal. “I thank the technical team of the team and the players for a good display in South Korea,” said Amin.
The team participated in the South Korea International Youth 2019 tournament. They beat Duson China 3-2 and also registered a 4-1 victory over Australia. They went on to suffer a 2-0 defeat to South Korea and 3-2 loss to Japan.
Last week the President of the Republic of South Sudan, H.E Gen. Salva Kiir praised the team for lifting the national flag high. The President highlighted that the performance is clear reflection that the football future looks bright.
