South Sudan turn focus to Africa Cup of Nations 2021 qualifier against Seychelles
President of the South Sudan Football Association (SSFA), Francis Amin Michael has said they have now turned focus to the qualifiers of the 2021 Total Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifiers.
Amin said this on Tuesday while welcoming back the Bright Star from Equatorial Guinea were the team was eliminated in the preliminary stage of the FIFA World Cup 2022 qualifiers 2-1 on aggregate.
Amin together with the Association Vice President Venansio Amum welcomed the team at the Juba International Airport.
The SSFA President encouraged the team to continue with the good spirit as they change focus to the 2021 Afcon qualifiers. “SSFA will do what is necessary to make our team strong for the next match against Seychelles on October 7th,” said Amin.
After the first leg to be played in Khartoum, the Bright Star will travel to face Seychelles in the the return leg on October 15th to decide which teams joins the group stage of the Afcon 2021 qualifiers.
