Two
officials from South Sudan have been selected to handle different roles at the regional
Cecafa U-20 Challenge Cup.
The
tournament which will bring together 11 teams will take place September 21st
to October 5th in the Uganda.
Makur Majok has been selected as a general coordinator, while Robert Duwuki replaces another South Sudan assistant referee George Primato Olibo.
In the earlier list Olibo who was one of the assistant referees last weekend in Rwanda to officiate a Confederations Cup round of 32 match between AS Kigali FC and Uganda’s Proline FC which ended 1-1 had been picked.
The
tournament will have Group A play at the Pece War Memorial Stadium in Gulu,
while Group B and C played at the Fufa Technical centre in Njeru.
Defending
champions who won the title in 2010 Uganda are placed in Group A alongside
Sudan, Djibouti and Eritrea. Group B has Kenya, Zanzibar, Ethiopia and
Tanzania, while Group C will have three teams South Sudan, Burundi and Somalia.
The
tournament is partly sponsored by FIFA.
