The South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) has confirmed that they will for the first time enter a team in the 2019 Cecafa Senior Women’s Challenge Cup.

Michael, the SSFA President confirmed that they will for the first time enter a
team in the women’s regional Championship.
“Eight
countries including South Sudan have confirmed participation in the tournament,”
said Nicholas Musonye, the Secretary General of the Council of East and Central
African Football Associations (Cecafa) on Monday.
The tournament is expected to take place in the Tanzanian capital Dar es Salaam between November 14-23. “The Tanzania Football Federation and Cecafa have proceeded to make formal application to FIFA through CAF for funds to run the event,” added Musonye.
He said
Cecafa had an inspection visit in Tanzania last week and made it clear that
Tanzania is ready to host the event.
The eight
countries that have confirmed participation are; Tanzania, Uganda, Burundi,
Djibouti, Zanzibar, Kenya, Ethiopia and South Sudan.
