The Council
of East and Central African Football Associations (Cecafa) has made changes in
the dates for the Cecafa Senior Women’s Challenge Cup.
Nicholas
Musonye, the Secretary General of the body said on Thursday that the tournament
will now start November 16th instead of th earlier date of November 14th.
The regional
tournament will run November 16-25th at the Chamanzi Stadium in the
Tanzanian capital Dar es Salaam.
South Sudan’s
team that will be making the first appearance in the tournament will now open
their campaign on November 16th with a game against the defending
champions Tanzania.
Two days later
the South Sudan team will face Zanzibar before winding up the Group A campaign
with a game against Burundi on November 20th.
The semi finals will now be played on November 23rd, while the play-off and final take place November 25th.
