FIFA’s Samoura, CAF Boss Ahmad to visit
FIFA Secretary General Fatma Samoura together with President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) will arrive in Juba, South Sudan on Thursday, November 14th on a special one-day visit.
“We are happy that finally President Ahmad and Samoura will be making a solidarity visit to South Sudan,” said Francis Amin Michael, President of the South Sudan Football Association (SSFA).
Amin explained that Ahmad had promise to visit South Sudan after the 2019 Total Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon).
Samoura, who is also the FIFA General Delegate for Africa, Ahamd and CAF Executive member and President of the Djibouti Football Federation, Suleiman Waberi are expected to visit the on-going renovation at the Juba National Stadium.
The Juba Nationsl Stadium in under going renovation under FIFA’s Forward Development Programme.
Since his election in March 2017 the CAF President Ahmad has visited some nations in the Council for East and Central African Football Associations (Cecafa) like Rwanda, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Djibouti and Eritrea.
