South Sudan’s
U-23 international Martin Sawi is back to action in the 2020 K3 League in Korea.
The attacking midfielder featured for Yangju Citizen FC in their first game of the season in a goalless draw against Chuncheon FC last Saturday.
Korea’s 2020 K3 League failed to kick-off quickly as a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. After the draw Yangju Citizen are now placed 8th on the 16 team log with one point.
Another
South Sudan international Paul Puk Kun Pal who plays as a central defender also
features for Yangju Citizen FC in Korea. Daejeon Korail FC, Gyeongju KHNP FC
and Gimhae FC are currently leading the K3 League table with three points each.
The two
players are expected to play roles for South Sudan’s national team during
international competitions later this year including the CECAFA regional
tournaments.
