Buluk Playground Officially Handed Over to SSFA
Buluk Playground today morning was handed over to South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) by GS Construction Company in a bid to facilitate training for the National Team (Bright Stars) ahead of their friendly match against Cameroon on 10th October and preparations for AFCON Qualification matches.
The first phase handing over of the playground was received by Mr. Francis Amin, the President of South Sudan Football Association together with Mr. George Kosta, a member of SSFA’s Board of Directors and Mr. Anthony John, Secretary General.
Speaking on behalf of the Board, Mr. George says SSFA is receiving the playground to enable Bright Stars commence their training in preparations for a friendly match against Cameroon and AFCON Qualification competition against Uganda. He stated that the field is partly handed over; however, it will be entirely handed to SSFA after the completion of a gym and dressing hall and athletic track.
SSFA’s Secretary General, Mr. Anthony John says the National Team will commence training on the pitch immediately after undergoing COVID-19 test on Friday, affirming that Bright Stars will have two sessions of trainings which will be in the morning and afternoon to prepare them for the upcoming games.
Meanwhile, Mr. Girma Shifiraw, the Managing Director for GS Construction Company expressed that he is delighted to handover the upgraded pitch so as Bright Stars could start their training.
“Today marks the handing over ceremony of the CAF standard playground from GS Construction Company to SSFA. So, as a company Managing Director, I am very happy to handover the completed project to them so that the National Team can start training.”
