South Sudan Football Association confirmed that South Sudan will be participating

In a meeting of the South Sudan Football Association Board of Directors on Wednesday, it was confirmed that South Sudan will be participating in the 2017 CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup due to be held in Kenya from late November. The board of directors has assigned Abdurrahman Rajab as acting head coach for the national team for the upcoming tournament. Other news to come from the meeting included:
• The South Sudan Cup will be beginning on November 8th, with the full fixtures to be announced in the coming days.
• The Board of Directors has made a formal decision to open a police case against former SSFA President Chabur Goc after he has consistently refused to return assets belonging to the SSFA.
• A letter has been sent to the Bor Local Football Association to approve the legality of Deng Awak as President of the Bor Local Football Association.
