Al Amarat Utd humble City Stars

Juba Football  Cup defending Champions Al  Amarat United FC kicked off their 2019 campaign in the South Sudan Cup with a 2-0 win over City Stars on Wednesday.

Majak Mayor opened the scoring for Al Amarat United in the first half before Agany Akot increased the lead in the second half in a group A tie played at the Juba Stadium.

In the second match of the competition Young Stars of Torit drew with Salam FC from Bor 2-2. Al Amarat United now top Group A with three points, while Young Stars and Salam FC are tied on a point each and City Stars are bottom.

The South Sudan Cup organised by the South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) has attracted 14 teams dived in four Groups based in Juba, Wau, Renk and Yambio.
