Atlabara FC, Holy Family register wins

Former champions Atlabara FC and Holy Family FC have kick started the 2019 South Sudan Club Champions League in style with convincing wins.

Atlabara FC were in good scoring form defeating Koryom FC 3-0 in a Group A match played at the St. Paul and Peter ground on Wednesday. Emmanuel James netted a brace, while James Wani scored one goal for the Atlabara FC side.

In a Group B match played at the Wau Stadium on Wednesday Holy Family FC also picked a 3-0 victory over Aweil United. Pleng Chol, Will Pouer and Isaac Dlulue scored the goals.

Early in the week Holy Family FC held Hilal FC to a 1-1 draw, while Abyei City FC stopped Tiger FC 1-0 in other Group B matches played. In Group C Sobat FC and Galb El Assad settled for a 2-2 draw.

Action in Group A continues on Thursday with Malakia taking on Super Luzira FC.

The winner of the Club Champions League will represent South Sudan in the CAF Championships League which kicks off in August and the 2019 Kagame Club Championship in Rwanda in July.
