Sobat FC face El Qadisiua in tricky clash

Sobat FC and El Qadisiua FC will be in action in a Group C match this afternoon at the Malakal Stadium in the on-going 2019 South Sudan Club Champions League.

Galb El Assad and Sobat FC settled for a 2-all draw in the opening game of the group.

In Group A games played on Saturday Atlabara FC picked 2-0 win over Super Luzira FC. It was Atlabara’s second straight win after kick starting the campaign with a 3-0 victory over Koryom FC.

Malakia FC also picked a 2-1 win over Koryom Fc last week, while Super Luzira FC beat Malakia 2-0 in other Group A matches already played.

Group B has seen Al Hillal draw 1-1 against Holy Family FC, while Abyei City humbled Tiger FC 1-0. Holy Family FC returned to defeat Aweil United 3-0, Al Hilal stopped Abyei City 2-0 and Al Hilal also registered another 2-0 win over Aweil United.

South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) Secretary General, Anthony John Lauro said the Group stages are expected to climax on May 28th before the semi finals take place June 6th and 8th. The final slated for June 10th will take place at the Wau Stadium.

The winner of the Club Champions League will represent South Sudan in the CAF Championships League which kicks off in August and the 2019 Kagame Club Championship in Rwanda in July.
