D-Day as Atlabara FC battle Al-Hilal

The champion of the 2019 South Sudan Club Champions League will be known this afternoon after Atlabara FC battle Al-Hilal FC tussle it out in the final match at the Wau Stadium.

In the first game of the last stage Al-Hilal managed to pick a 1-all draw against Al-Gadishia FC, while Atlabara FC humbled Al-Gadishia FC 4-1 in the second game played two days ago.

Atlabara FC coach Mores Machile has made it clear that although they have been unbeaten since the tournament started they will treat the final game very seriously. “We have treated every game like a final since the tournament started and will handle the final game even more seriously,” said Machile.

In-form Philip Adini who netted a hat-trick in the big win against Al-Gadishia FC and Jemi Mandela are expected to come all out to lead Atlabara’s hunt for goals, while the likes of Abudlurahman Adam lead Al-Hilal.

Several officials from the South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) are government officials are expected to grace the final game. Francis Amin Michael, the SSFA President said he will miss the game since he is away in Germany on official duty.

The winner of the Championship will represent South Sudan in the 2019 Cecafa Kagame Club Championships in Kigali in July and the CAF Champions League which kicks-off in August.
