Rayon Sports beat Atlabara 2-0 in Kagame Cup

Rwanda’s Rayon Sports kept their 100% unbeaten run on Tuesday with a 2-0 win over Atlabara FC in the on-going CECAFA Kagame Club Championship in Rwanda.

Jules Ulimwengu scored in each half at the Kigali Stadium to take his tally to three goals in the tournament.

The South Sudan Premier League champions tried to play a highly defensive game, but failed to tame the Ulimwengu. Rayon Sports second win sends them to the quarter final stage to join APR FC who already booked a place in the last eight.

In another Group A match African giants TP Mazembe returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over KMC FC. Mondeko Zatu scored the lone goal after 61 minutes.

TP Mazembe who lost the opening match 1-0 to Rayon Sports will face Atlabara FC in their last Group game on July 13th, while Rayon Sports take on KMC FC. Atlabara FC kick started the tournament with a 1-all draw against KMC FC.

In the other games played on Tuesday Kenya’s Bandari Fc settled for a 2-2 draw against Mukura Victory FC (Rwanda), while Uganda Premier League champions KCCA FC defeated defending champions Azam FC (Tanzania) 1-0.
