Premier League table leaders Vipers Sports Club have signed South Sudan’s U-20
international Stephen Joseph Dhata.
“We are
happy to sign a promising young defender,” the club’s communication officer
Abdul Wasike told ssfaonline.com
Dhata, a
student at Buddo Secondary School was part of South Sudan’s tam at the CECAFA
U-20 Challenge Cup held in Uganda last year. The central defender who is calm
and a good game reader scored in South Sudan’s 3-0 win against Somalia in the
CECAFA U-20 Challenge Cup.
Edward
Golola, Vipers SC’s head coach said they have been trying out the player even
during friendly games. “He has showed that he is promising. He is young, but
talented,” added the coach.
Vipers SC
who are hungry to dethrone KCCA FC to represent the country in the CAF
Champions League will kick start the second round of the League against Kyetume
FC on Friday.
