Sawi signs for South Korea’s Yangju
South Sudan’s promising youngster Martin Sawi has signed a one-year contract with South Korea’s K3 League side Yangju FC.
Daniel Gabriel, the Public relations officer of the South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) confirmed that Sawi has made the move to South Korea.
“It is a good step for the youngster as he continues to develop his talent at a professional level,” added Gabriel.
The 18-year old Sawi had previously played under former National team coach Bilal Felix at the Young Star Academy.
The South Korean K3 League is semi-professional with 16 teams. The League created in 2007 is considered a third tier of South Korean football League system.
Sawi’s new Club Yangju FC is based in the city of Yangju, located south of Dongducheon and north of Uijeongbu.
