The South
Sudan Football Association (SSFA) has suspended all national and International
football games in the country.

Michael, President of the Association made the announcement on Sunday during a
press conference at the Landmark Hotel in Juba.
The development
comes as a result of the impact and fast spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) around
the world. But Amin made it clear that the final of the South Sudan Cup will go
ahead on March 21st without fans in the ground.
On Friday
the Confederation of African Football (CAF) also announced that the 2021 Total
Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier games slated for March 25-31st
have been postponed because of the impact of the Coronavirus. South Sudan was
slated to face Uganda in Kampala and a return leg in Nairobi, Kenya.
In a related development, a representative of Ministry of Health, Dr. Loui Dhow has said the Ministry has taken measures to prevent the outbreak of the Coronavirus in the country. He also assured the public that flights from and to affected countries have also been suspended till further notice.
