Al Rabita FC win South Sudan Cup

Al Rabita Football Club defeated Nile City FC 2-0 in the final of the 2019/2020 South Sudan Cup.

The final played at the Seminary ground in Juba on Monday saw the Al Rabita FC team dominate the game to score through Justin Zuma Ramadan and Coffi.

President of the South Sudan Football Association (SSFA), Francis Amin Micheal together with other members handed over the medals and the trophy after the final.

“We are happy that despite this challenge of the Coronavirus which has led to several things and football schedules stopped, we have managed to complete the South Sudan Cup,” said Amin.

Nelson Monday David who captained Nile City FC was voted the Best Player of the Tournament. The winning team received medals, a trophy and will also get US$3,000.

To reach the final Al Rabita FC ejected Aweil United 3-0, while Nile City FC defeated Al Gadesia FC 1-0.

Al Rabita FC will now represent South Sudan in the Total CAF Confederations Cup 2020/2021 preliminary round.
