The Acting
Secretary General of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Abdel Bah has
said they are determined to develop women’s football in the continent.
Speaking in
an interview on Monday Bah who is too over earlier this month after the
surprise resignation of Mouad Hajji said CAF is planning lots of things that
also includes women’s football.
“Development
of women’s football is one of our top priority,” said Bah who added that they
are currently working on plans for a CAF Women’s Champions League.
He said that
it is good that many nations are now taking up women’s football seriously. “We
have about 30 nations with serious women’s football,” he added.
About the
Women’s Nations Cup, Bah said they have received proposals from Nigeria and
Equatorial Guinea. “CAF has asked for additional documents from these two
