SSFA Receives FIFA COVID-19 Relief

South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) yesterday has announced to the media that it has finally received the FIFA COVID-19 relief fund which was announced on 25 June 2020.
Speaking to the media at SSFA’s Premises, Mr. Makur Majuk, the Head of SSFA’s Finance Committee confirmed that SSFA has lastly received the FIFA COVID-19 relief fund which was announced on 25 June 2020.
“I am here to announce that SSFA has received the COVID-19 fund at last after several allegations circulating on social media that, SSFA received the COVID-19 fund and we used it for own benefits actually when we didn’t,” Makur confirmed.
He explained that the total amount received by SSFA last week was one million United State Dollars USD 1 million) which is divided into two halves for solidarity fund and women football, saying the funds will be allocated to the local federations and the national team accordingly and the women fund will be reserved as SSFA gets a consultant from CAF to develop strategies on how to utilize the fund in developing women’s football.
