Three-day FIFA’s Refereeing Online Course Kicks off Today
Thirty five referees from Nine Local Football Associations are participation in an online refereeing course offered by FIFA today in Juba.
The online course which will take three days is officially opened by the President of South Sudan Football Association (SSFA), Mr. Francis Amin this morning in presence of Mr. William Machok, the President of Aweil Local Football Association.
Speaking during the opening session, Mr. Amin congratulated the participants for being part of the course which is happening for the first time in the country due to COVID-19 menace, advising them to take the training seriously in order to upgrade their technical skills before the resumption of football activities after a long lockdown.
He said referees are always progressing in offline trainings and due to COVID-19 outbreak they are also taking part in the online courses which are very crucial.
Meanwhile, William Machok, the President of Aweil Local Football Association encourages the participants to open their minds during the three days training to benefit them. He told the participants to fully complete the course in order to gain new knowledge. He cited that the course is very crucial for the referees and they should take it earnestly, appreciating FIFA for offering the course.
The instructors of the program included; Jerome Damon, CAF’s Referees Development Officer, Jason Damoo, the instructor for the law of games and Nasreddine Cherifi, the instructor for physical fitness.
