COVID-19 Taskforce Permits Partial Resumption of Football Activities

SSFA’s Board of Directors in their meeting today, announced a partial resumption of football activities in the country after receiving permission from the National COVID-19 Taskforce.
The meeting resolved that, the National Team’s players will undergo COVID-19 test on Thursday, 10th/09/2020 before joining the camp for training to prepare against their friendly match with Cameroon on 10th/10/2020 ahead of AFCON qualification match with Uganda on 09th November and 17th November, stating that the National Team will commence trainings on Buluk Playground on Friday 11th/09/2020 after handing over of Buluk Playground to SSFA by GS Construction Company tomorrow at 09:00Am.
Mr. Alul Daniel, the Spokesperson for SSFA confirmed that, the Board of Directors directed electoral committee to start preparations and scheduled time for elections of Local Football Associations’ presidents which are still being run by the interim committee.
He disclosed that the meeting also announced the registrations of players will kick off on 20th December, 2020 to 30th December 2020 and the preparation period of clubs for the new season will begin from 31st December 2020 to 09th January 2021, revealing that next season will have two competitions; i.e. South Sudan Cup for men and for women and will start on 10th January 2021 to 30th January 2021.
