Bright Stars Commences Training on Sunday

South Sudan Football Association (SSFA), on Sunday morning has inaugurated the National Team’s training kick off at Buluk Playground in preparations for AFCON Qualifies and friendly match against Cameroon next month.
The inauguration was attended by the Vice President of SSFA, Mr. Venasio Amum together with the Chairperson for National Team committee, Joseph Louis, SSFA’s Secretary General, Anthony John and the President of Unity State Football Association, Phillip Moon.
Mr. Amum congratulates the players for reaching the level to represent South Sudan in AFCON Qualifiers, urging them to take the training seriously so as to gain fitness after six consecutive months of not training due to COVID-19 menace. He told the players to take enough rest after training in order to wake up fresh in the morning for other session, advising them to observe COVID-19 precautionary measures seriously and avoid unnecessary movements.
The second session of the training continued yesterday evening, the squad also started the second day of the training this morning with gym to recover their fitness.
The Team’s coach, Mr. Ashu Seprian yesterday evening said they will continue with fitness training to improve the players’ fitness level. He thanked SSFA for upgrading Buluk training field to facilitate the training within the country instead of hiring training fields in neighboring countries, acknowledging SSFA’s effort to develop sports infrastructures in the country.
Meanwhile, Bright Stars’ captain, Maker Peter assures that they are ready for AFCON Qualifies match against Uganda and the friendly match with Cameroon, calling on his teammates to work hard in order to be fully prepared.
