VP Nyandeng Welcomes Bright Stars Home

The Vice President for Gender, Youth and Sports Cluster, H.E. Mama Rebecca Nyandeng de Mabior welcomed Bright Stars back home after a victorious win over Uganda in Kenya.
Speaking during a congratulatory meeting held to welcome and applaud Bright Stars for their victory against Ugandan Cranes in Kenya earlier this week, Mama Rebecca expressed her contentment and congratulates Bright Stars for their victory, describing ‘Bright Stars’ as a name associated with wining. She advises the players to embrace patriotism and acknowledged the commitment of players from diaspora to represent South Sudan.
She promises that the government is going to knock at the doors of its partners to mobilize support for national teams.
H.E. Rebecca also assures the football body of government’s effort to reclaim lands meant for sports’ purposes from illegal occupants and be renovated to host young potential talents.
Mama Rebecca further urges the team to continue inserting more efforts in their preparations to improve their performance in international competitions, advising them to always understand their opponents before dreaming of wining.
The occasion was also exalted by the Minister for Youth and Sports, Dr. Albino Bol Dhieu, Minster for Gender, Child and Social Welfare, Aya Benjamin Libo Wanille, President of South Sudan Football Association (SSFA), Mr. Francis Amin and SSFA Members of Board Directors; Abd Alrahman Chol, George Kosta and Mujaid Ali.
