SSFA New President Officially Assumes Office

This morning, the Secretary General of the South Sudan Football Association, Mr. Victor Lawrence Lual together with his deputies Mr. Joseph Apai and Ms. Viola Willi received at the SSFA Headquarters the newly elected SSFA President Mr. Augustino Madut Parek, his Deputy, Mr. Charles Udwar Ukech and the new members of the Board of Directors. In attendance was also Mr. Francis Micheal Amin, the outgoing SSFA President and his Deputy Mr. Venasio Amum plus the media houses.

While doing the official handover to the incoming executive, the outgoing President expressed his happiness with the smooth transfer of power that took place in a democratic manner. He added that he will be more than ready and willing to render his support to the new team when sought for. Conclusively he wished the new team the best in their endeavor.

While addressing the gathering, the new SSFA Vice President Mr. Charles Udwar Ukech thanked the former President and his administration for the cooperation. He stressed that they will safeguard all the assets of SSFA and preserving them until the end of their term. Charles thanked all who worked for the success of the electoral process and he also pointed out that today is a historic day for sport in the country.

The new SSFA President Mr. Augustino Madut Parik, thanked the Secretariat for the good reception. He also thanked the outgoing SSFA President Francis Amin Michael, for his cooperation and demonstration of the democratic spirit in the recent elections, noting that this is the spirit of democracy that should prevail in the sports community in the country. He went on calling the former President to continue to support his administration in the next stage. Mr. Parek  also called on the former candidates to be ready to cooperate with him in the next stage, explaining that he wants football to be for used as a tool for peaceful coexistence, peace and unity not to create problems and differences in the sports family. He called on all sports fans to stand with the new administration and its Board of Directors.
