The President of South Sudan Football Association, officiated the closing the five (5) days training for South Sudan Referees Accessors (Instructors)
On Wednesday 27th October 2021; the President of South Sudan Football Association, Mr. Augustino Maduot Parek officiated the closing ceremony of the five (5) days training for South Sudan Referees Accessors (Instructors) who came from Sixteen (16) Local Football Associations in the Republic of Sudan.
In the attendance of the ceremony were, SSFA Deputy President Mr. Charles Udwar, SSFA Organizing Committee Chairman, Mr. Wiyual Lam and SSFA Deputy Secretary General Mr. Joseph Archangelo Apai. The Five days training was facilitated by Mr. Ntagungira Celestin the Chairperson of Referees Committee at Confederation of African Football (CAF).
The President of South Sudan Football Association, Mr. Augustino Maduot Parek stressed the readiness of SSFA Administration for the continuation capacity building to Referees, Coaches, Administrators and Sports Journalists. He pointed out the importance of the training given to the Referees Accessors that will compact the capabilities of the referees to run the match according to the Laws of the game.
The SSFA Vice President Mr. Charles Udwar said, capacity building is one of the greatest parts of the strategic plan of the current administration of the SSFA and urge the accessors to go back to their respective Local Football Association and utilized the knowledge gained through the training.
Mr. Ntagungira Celestin who is the Chairperson of Referees Committee at Confederation of African Football (CAF) thanked the SSFA Administration for the hospitalities rendered to him and the participant during the training. He also thanks the Future Stars Academy for their support during the training and promised to work hand in hand with the Referees Committee of SSFA for more training and upgrading.
The SSFA Deputy Secretary of General Mr. Joseph Archangelo Apai praised the facilitator and participants for giving their time to befit from the training. He urged the Local Football Associations to involve more women into the Department of Referees to match the level of gender balance at all categories as SSFA prioritized the engagement of women into football activities.
At the end, the President of SSFA and his Deputy awarded the participants with certificates from FIFA.
