Speaking shortly after the Zoom meeting, Dr. Albino Bol appreciated CAF for the plan to introduce the competition, citing that South Sudan will be the first beneficiary of the initiative since sports is the only way to drive youth to a peaceful coexistence.

Meanwhile, the President of South Sudan Football Association, Mr. Augustino Maduot said the upcoming initiative for CAF is very important and SSFA will put it into consideration in order develop young talents in the country.

According to CAF, the competition is going to be a yearly activity, each participating country will be expected to organize inter-schools local leagues to produce two best teams (girls and boys ages 13, 15 and 16) from each country – the schools will then participate in a zonal competition. Best teams from five zones i.e. Eastern, Southern, Western, Northern and Central Africa will then compete in a continent level. The competition is expected to commence next year.
