Gov’t Pledges to Support Constructions of Sport’s Infrastructures

The Government through Ministry of Youth and Sports has today, promised to work hand in hand with South Sudan Football Association to develop sport’s infrastructures in the country.

The Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Albino Bol was together with the President of South Sudan Football Association (SSFA), Mr. Augustino Madout today morning during an inspection of the construction progress of Juba National Stadium when he pledges government’s support towards construction of sport’s infrastructures.

Speaking shortly after the inspection, Dr. Albino Bol confirms government’s commitment to develop sports infrastructures in the country. He added that, the government through his ministry will work closely with SSFA and FIFA to complete the construction of Juba National Stadium.

Dr. Albino also assured the Football Fraternity that the government will add more standard seats in the stadium, revealing government’s plans to construct an Olympic Standard Stadium in the country soon.

On his part, the President of SSFA, Mr. Augustino Madout said the construction work of Juba National Football Association has reached its completion stages, saying the only remaining part to be completed is the Seven Mile which was not part of FIFA project – He urged the government to help SSFA to complete the Seven Mile Pavilion.

 Mr. Augustino however, confirmed that the stadium will begin to host international matches earlier next year.

Meanwhile, GS Construction Company Site Engineer, Debeba Melest said that they are working around the clock to finalize the interior work of the stadium which is almost completed.
