The National Teams Committee organized a two-day workshop for administrators and managers

Today, Thursday, December 7, 2023, the National Teams Committee organized a two-day workshop for administrators and managers of clubs and national teams in Juba.
The course aims to develop the capabilities of senior managers who travel with national teams and clubs. Twenty-six administrators and twenty-six clubs and team managers participated in the workshop.
The workshop was officially launched by the President of the association, Mr. Augustino Maduot, in the presence of the deputy president, Charles Udwar, together with members of the Board of Directors, Mr. Thiong John and Albino Kuek, and the coach of the South Sudan Women’s National Team, Mr.Sadi Mohamed.

Mr. Augustino Maduot, said that the workshop is the first of its kind to be initiated by the association in order to develop the capabilities of the managers who travel with the national teams, pointing out the importance of the training as a turning point for the association to ensure that the managers carry out their responsibilities professionally.
“It is certain that the benefit of this workshop will be positive, it will improve the efficiency of the heads of missions who travel with the national teams and their role in managing the national teams,” he emphasized.
He also pointed out the need to pay attention to the financial aspect how to rationalize the use of money in foreign travels and how to make reports.
He also stressed on organization of more such training to build the capacity of future cadres in the field of football management in the country.

On his part, Mr. Charles Udwar, confirmed that the workshop will raise the capabilities of those working with the teams and clubs and to provide a good atmosphere for the administration, explaining that the association is continuing to implement all capacity development programs.

Meanwhile, Head of the association’s National Teams Committee, Michael Daniel, said that the workshop aims to pay special attention to the experienced managers working in the national teams and clubs in the country, thanking the leadership of the association for its continued support for the national teams and for the committee to develop the capabilities of the managers in the country, saying this workshop came as a result of the several national teams and clubs activities in all categories which requires more manpower, hence, prompting the committee to carry out this workshop in order to upgrade capacity of the administrators.

The association’s secretary general, Mr. Victor Lawrence, revealed that identifying the challenges faced by administrators and outlining possible solutions was also the main purpose for the workshop, adding that the workshop will enlightened the administrators about their major roles while on foreign missions.
