Monday, 24th December 2024 — Junior Bright Star U-17 faced a tough 4:0 defeat against Tanzania in the Semi-final of the U-17 AFCON CECAFA Qualifiers 2024. Despite their efforts, the team couldn’t secure a spot in the final this time.
In the U-17 AFCON CECAFA Qualifiers 2022, held in Addis Ababa, South Sudan’s U-17 team prevented Tanzania from advancing to the U-17 AFCON in Algeria 2023. It was a memorable victory for them back then.
Now, the boys are gearing up for the third-place match scheduled for the 27th of December. They will face either Somalia or Uganda in what promises to be an intense battle for the podium finish.
