A delegation from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has arrived in Juba to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the Juba National Stadium. The inspection is in preparation for hosting FIFA World Cup qualifiers matches in June and the official opening and inauguration by FIFA.
The delegation is led by Mohamed El-Tobgy, CAF stadium inspector, and Zacharia Diabate, CAF safety and security officer. Their visit is in line with CAF and FIFA requirements for hosting home matches in every stadium.
The inspection aims to ensure that the stadium meets all necessary standards and regulations for hosting international matches. This includes evaluating the stadium’s facilities, safety measures, and overall readiness to host such prestigious events.
The Juba National Stadium has been undergoing upgrades and renovations to meet the standards set by CAF and FIFA. The inspection team’s visit is a crucial step towards ensuring that the stadium is fully prepared to host the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers matches and other international events.
The South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) and the government of South Sudan are working closely with CAF and FIFA to ensure that all requirements are met and that the Juba National Stadium is ready to welcome teams and fans for these important matches.
