The Management of SSFA wishes to convey an important update to the football community regarding the Senior Women’s National Team. After a thoughtful and respectful discussion with Coach Mohamed Sidi Karoune, we have mutually agreed to conclude his contract.
This decision comes in light of recent personal challenges faced by Coach Karoune, including the profound loss of his mother, which has understandably impacted his ability to fulfill his coaching responsibilities.We recognize the dedication and passion Coach Karoune brought to the team, and we are grateful for his contributions during his tenure. Our thoughts are with him during this difficult time as he navigates through these personal challenges.
Moving forward, we are pleased to announce that Coach Simon James Yor will take on the role of interim head coach. We are confident in Coach Yor’s ability to lead the team during this transition period. We appreciate the continued support of our fans and the entire football fraternity as we embark on this new chapter.
