The National Teams’ Committee Chairman, Michael Daniel, highlighted a safe environment for young athletes as a top priority.
Emphasizing the collective responsibility in protecting minors, Safeguarding Officer Emmanuel Lugala urged football administrators to prioritize the well-being of young athletes.
Former referee Siddiq Rafen Al-Zi stressed the importance of players understanding football laws and fair play principles, underscoring the need for coaches, administrators, and officials to enhance their knowledge of child safety in sports.
This initiative is in alignment with FIFA and CAF regulations, emphasizing the significance of awareness and precautionary measures. As the South Sudan team gears up for the CECAFA Under-17 Championship, promoting child protection and safety remains a key focus for the association.
