Bright Starlet regroups ahead of TotalEnergies CAF Women’s AFCON Qualifiers

The South Sudan Senior Women’s National Team (Bright Starlet) yesterday 24th August 2023, commenced training ahead of their TotalEnergies CAF Women’s African Cup of Nations qualification first leg match which has been scheduled for 20th of September in Egypt.

Assistant and the acting Coach, Soni Harriet started the training with thirty-three local players and other three from outside the country. The provisional list includes: Tutu Khalda, Nawal Isaac, Anna Ihure, Evkine Keji, Mercelina Shila, Sumaya Malili, Dorka Greal, Amama Issa, Joseph Esther, Elisa Esther, Venusto Cindy, Lella Mercy, Rutha Night, Vita Nakrijja, Jessica Modong, Nancy Joseph, Mary Dawa, Chieng Thomas, Diana Podonyi, Apayi Hatima, Sarah Awad, Stella Nyora, Suzy Michael, Dusman Harriet, Mariam Luiz, Poni Esther, Gove Jacinta, Sarah Aparo, Josephine Nyibol, Mary Angier, Duku Namygeye, Angieth Wek, Amy Lasu, Luka Alworong, and Fatuma Abubakar.

According to the draw for the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2024 Qualifiers, conducted on Thursday, 06 July at the Mohamed VI complex located in Rabat, South Sudan were set up in a tie against Egypt—the Bright Starlet will start their campaign on 20th of August in Egypt.
